It’s always hard when I talk to acquaintances about their struggles to get their CV noticed for a humanitarian job – especially when I see attributes in them that I know would be a great asset to any humanitarian team. But there are two major inter-related skillsets which I believe are essential for a disaster responder, which people so often have in abundance and yet overlook on their CV or resume. What are they, and how do you build them into your CV to increase the chances of it getting to the top of the pile?
